BIKES IN SCHOOLS

The Bikes in Schools Tairawhiti Project had an objective to deliver significant cycling infrastructure (tracks, cycles, helmets, storage and cycle education) to schools to encourage and support more young people to cycle. It is the largest scale implementation of Bikes in Schools in New Zealand. Connext Trust was the initiator and implementer of the project in Tairawhiti.

HOUSE OF SCIENCE

Established in 2013, House of Science is a charitable trust that was founded by Chris Duggan. A trained biochemist, former Bay of Plenty secondary school science teacher and college Head of Department.

The House of Science vision is to raise scientific literacy. We aim to achieve that by resourcing and connecting local science communities. Our core values are Curiosity, Collaboration and Community.

CONNECTED KIDS

Connected Kids is a project set up by the Connext Trust in collaboration with Manaiakalani in 2018.

The project aims up upskill teachers in schools in digital literacy, work to engage children in digital literacy and offer a vehicle for affordable devices in the home so children can continue the learning in the home.
